At the 1950 Annual Meeting of GEB Bishop Synan suggested relocation of Church Headquarters to Memphis to centralized area. Office space rented and General Officials moved to Memphis.

First W. A. Convention separate from Gen. Conf. Held in Jacksonville. One notable feature of the 1949 conference was the presence of a delegation from the black "United Holy Church" a sister denomination with doctrines identical to PHC. Talks toward a merger broke down when members of the black group asked for the privilege of sending students to schools operated by the church. The Conference adopted a "joint statement" and "mutual working agreement" whereby blacks would minister to blacks and white to whites with the understanding that the United Holy Church could use the name of the PHC for local congregations where this would be an advantage.
