Education: The Southwestern Regional Board of Education became the Western Regional Board of Education and Sharon Bible and High School was consolidated with Southwestern Bible College until such time as the Western Board of Education deemed it advisable to reopen a school in the far west.

Home Missions Loan Fund established

Note: Between 1959 and 1960 the GEB approved a resolution and appointed a committee of three (R.L. Rex, Eddie Morris, W.W. Carter) to investigate possible avenues of communication with black Penntecostals. All efforts came to naught.

At the close of the 1950's there were 53,250 members in 1,252 churches in the US and 21,250 members in 408 churches overseas. Between 1957 and 1961 the General Church purchased more than 100 acres at Franklin Springs and erected a new publishing plant and office.

Sixth PH Youth Society Convention, June 11, 1957, Franklin Springs, GA. Director: Bane Underwood, Assist. Dir. A.D. Beacham, Sec/Treas: Burney Proctor. Financial: Recommended that each local society pay 30 cents per year per member into the Conference Treasury to be applied on the General Budget. Name changed from PHYS to "Lifeliners".
