During the last quadrennium:

  • Developed Royal Rangers and GEMS to minister to boys and girls
  • Established a Video Department
  • Started Archives and Record Center
  • Established WIN
  • Established Men's Fellowship
  • Developed a Ministers Handbook
  • Restructured SAM (Summer Action Ministry), SOW (:Short-term Overseas Worker), LOVE Lay Overseas Volunteer Evangels
  • World Missions Dept is now supporting 176 missionaries - a 50% increase.
  • Working in 40 world class cities outside the US and expanded into 16 new countries
  • Four new Urban projects were undertaken.
  • Woman's Auxiliary changed name to Women's Ministries with focus oriented to reach out to hurting people.

Board of Institutions Projections:

  • Establish Graduate School to offer Master of Ministry degree in church growth and church planting. Target date for implementation 1999.
  • Emmanuel College to become 4 year accredited Liberal Arts College
  • SCU to continue a 4 year accredited Bible School
  • Advantage College to continue offering ministries in church growth, church planting and evangelism

Members in US 116,673, churches 1,461 Members overseas 137,653, churches 1,699.
