Supt of Evangelism: G. H. Montgomery, elected. To be paid from evangelistic fund , yet to be established. Home Evangelism Board: J. A. Synan, H. T. Spence, W. W. Carter, T. A. Melton, B. R. Dean. As a gesture to set an example for others, these men contributed $1.00 each to begin the Evangelism fund, which was the first General Home Evangelism fund created in the history of PHC.

Pentecostal Young People’s Society name changed to PHYS (Pentecostal Holiness Youth Society).

Voted to give Emmanuel College additional $6,000 over and beyond the Publishing House profits accrued from the sale of S. S. literature.

April 7, 1943 Falcon Orphanage property transferred to PHC
June 10, 1943 Service Men’s Commission setup. Samuel J. Todd appointed as Service Pastor - to visit PH men in uniform.

May 10, 1944 “Preachers’ Wives Club” established. Mrs. J. W. Berry elected to head this organization.

August 18, 1943 1st Military Chaplain n approved - J. Vinson Ellenberg. He served only a short time and resigned. He was followed by T. E. Myers

1944 Sharon Bible and High School opened in Madera, CA. Sponsored by the California Conf. ((which included Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington). Endorsed by the General Church.

Foreign Missions report “urged that a Penny Mission Band or Penny March be established in every Sunday School and that every church adopt the goal of at least a penny a day per member” be given to missions.

Committee on Christian Morals states “In view of the widespread desecration of the Christian Sabbath we urge that we refrain from operating soft drink and ice cream stands on the Sabbath Day at Camp Meetings.

Travel expense for the General Superintend was set at 1 cent per mile.
